Sean McEwen (O’skoipiiksi)

Sean McEwen

Sean has served in a variety of leadership and organizational development roles over the past twenty-five years.  His passion and continually expanding knowledge base in the areas of workplace equity, diversity, inclusion, and culture are regularly applied to public speaking engagements, initiative design, training, and tool development.  Sean has extensive experience designing and supporting employment inclusion services in Alberta and in Treaty Seven, First Nation communities. Supporting organizations to assess and improve psychological health and safety and team culture are strengths and key areas of experience as well. Designing employment inclusion services for people with disabilities (and every possible intersection of marginalization) has led to a variety and depth of critical skills around ‘coaching’ inclusion behaviours and culture.  This skill set is frequently leveraged by service providers and employers to build their capacity in either service development – or inclusive workplaces.

Helping organizations, boards, and networks to identify and drive workforce and workplace outcomes is a form of joy for Sean. Designing and delivering customized training sessions that generate real results and culture change is a genuine passion – as are collaboration and communications. Sean was the proud recipient of the 2018 Employment Inclusion Award from the Premier’s Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities.

Sean possesses the ability to present meaningful and compelling information to leaders and teams, and to effectively address their needs. His understanding of organizational development, inclusive leadership, and workplace challenges is demonstrated in his philosophies and his work. His experience with public speaking is extensive and includes keynotes, training, conference presentations, and media interviews (as well as 100+ alternative rock shows).
